Aim Higher

The Participant Resource Pool (PRP) was created by the Healthier Black Elders Center (HBEC) to assist in the solving of problems associated with the health of minorities. Through the Participant Resource Pool, researchers have access to people who are ready and willing to participate in research.

The HBEC actively recruits men and women who are willing to participate in non-invasive research. All individuals in the database complete an entry survey, which can be finished in approximately 5-10 minutes. The PRP oversight committee manages access to the pool and use of the database. The committee is comprised of nine individuals from the detroit community who ensure the safety and protection of participants and the quality and integrity of the research.
