Aim Higher

Donor and Board Member Dedication Helps to Shape IOG

The U.S. population of older Americans (65+) is currently growing at 300% the rate of our general population adults over the age of 85 will double by 2015.. There is a great urgency to find answers to the problems that the older adults and their families face and to connect this knowledge to the community. This can only be accomplished by combining quality research with a wide network of outreach.

The Institute of Gerontology is recognized as one of the top five gerontology research institutes in the nation – and the only one with a fully developed outreach and education program.

While our accomplishments have been great, with your help we can do so much more. To learn how your gift can make a difference to our research, students and the many communities we serve, please visit one of the links on this page.

Research Endowment Fund - Ensure a Brighter Future
To ensure the future of research at the Institute of Gerontology through a gift to the Research Endowment Fund. This fund provides resources to expand our research in the areas of Cognitive Neuroscience, Aging & Disability, and Health Disparities and allow us to investigate new areas of study.

Institute of Gerontology Education Fund - Make a Difference Today
A key part of the mission of the IOG is passing current knowledge to older adults, their families and the professionals that serve them. We accomplish this by providing a series of annual conferences, smaller learning forums, a weekly colloquia series, an active speaker’s bureau, and a media department that generates an IOG newsletter as well as articles for local and national mainstream publications. The funding for this effort is generated almost exclusively by our benefactors.
